Indiana Women's History Association

Indiana Women's History Association, Inc.

Mission

The association also works to provide leadership, service, and support to protect records pertaining to the history of women in Indiana. It encourages women and organizations to save their archives and to donate them to a suitable repository such as the William Henry Smith Library at the Indiana Historical Society.

In addition, the association seeks to promote the appreciation, understanding, and development of Indiana women's history, including the use by professional, public, and private scholars and students of the archives and oral histories in the collections of IHS and similar institutions.

The association is a 501 (c) (3) corporation which depends solely upon membership dues, gifts, bequests, and foundation grants to support, preserve, and disseminate the story of women in Indiana.
